Anxiety has been my specialty since 1997. First as School Social Worker and now in Private Practice since 2016. 

I find it both exciting and overdue that we now understand chronic anxiety as a problematic bodily state rather than merely a diagnosis. Good news about our capacity to change has been uncovered by the neuroscience of the last decades. Yes, genetics play a role but it is significantly less than thought in the past. Our genes turn on and off in a environmentally driven interplay. Relationships, life style choices, our own expectations, trauma and so much else combine to make us who we are. We need not be resigned to habits that do not serve us and often lead to negative outcomes. 

I hope to awaken your curiosity about what cues your body and mind may be giving you. It has after all, got you here to where you are now. Where you are in your life, and also to NOW, as you explore changes and possibilities with an open mind. 

My practical, holistic approach is both research-based and much appreciated by my clients.  I am warm and engaging but  very focused on getting a full understanding of your goals.  

I offer Dr. Steven Haye's Psychflex ap without charge to clients. This will allow us to touch base in between sessions. Once clients leave the office, the demands of daily life take over. They find their progress moves quicker if they are able to extend our work into life. 

 I take all major insurances including Medicare.
